Blake's Custom Full Bathroom Renovation with Layout Reconfiguration

The new 5x5 shower features a built-in custom bench, and every detail—from framing to finish work—was carefully executed. Custom Basement Finish with Load-Bearing Wall Removal

This basement finish project allowed owner-operator Nate to deliver a highly technical, code-compliant transformation while creating a fully functional space tailored to the homeowner’s needs. What began as an unfinished basement was converted into a finished sewing studio and living space through careful planning, structural work, and detailed craftsmanship.

The project required engineering plans and permits prior to construction due to the removal of an existing load-bearing wall. Once permits were approved, work began with the structural modifications, followed by framing, mechanical updates, and interior finishes. Every phase of the project was completed with a focus on safety, functionality, and long-term durability.

All inspections passed successfully, and the city inspector specifically complimented the quality of the structural work, noting that the beam installation went above and beyond typical standards.

Scope Of Work

Custom Home Interior Improvements & Repairs

This project gave us the opportunity to complete a variety of interior improvements within a single home, showcasing the range and flexibility of Mountain Made Construct’s work. The scope included flooring removal and replacement, structural modifications, wall and ceiling repairs, and exterior coordination, all tailored to the homeowner’s functional needs.

While the original plan included lowering an existing bench, the homeowner ultimately opted for full removal instead. Nate removed the bench entirely, repaired and refinished the wall area, and installed matching LVP flooring to create a clean, seamless finish. Although some portions of the work were completed early in the project and not photographed, the end result delivered a fully refreshed and functional space.

This bathroom restoration project was completed after an insurance-related demolition left the space unfinished. The homeowner needed a contractor to step in, assess existing conditions, and complete the bathroom so it could be fully functional and ready for daily use.

Owner-operator Nate evaluated the partially demolished space, identified what work remained, and developed a plan to complete the bathroom efficiently while meeting all applicable code and installation requirements. The focus of this project was restoring the space with durable finishes and proper installation after an unexpected interruption in the original construction timeline.

Space Division - Wall, Door, & Window Buildout

We recognize that while open concept designs are appealing, having defined spaces can significantly improve functionality. This approach not only complies with safety codes but also effectively creates two distinct areas for enhanced learning and fun!

Doorway Buildout & Flooring

Transforming spaces for safety is crucial, especially in a daycare setting. The previous swing door was not serving its purpose, so we widened the doorway and installed a code-compliant door for better access and security. Additionally, we replaced the flooring in that area to create a and more inviting environment for the little ones. These upgrades ensure that the space is practical!
